EDEN MEN'S SHED INC.

  We have had another good day, or should I say an exceptionally good day, selling our hand made goods at our stall on Friday 21 October with the cruise ship Pacific Explorer. Even had a few 'locals' buy items as Christmas presents! Next cruise ship in is the Pacific Adventure on Sunday 13 November. Hope you all come over, look at our goodies, say hello and have a chat with us. We are also going to be part of the nation wide Garage Sale Trail on Saturday 12 November. We will be welcoming sellers (for a small fee) to participate and join us. As usual we will have a sausage sizzle, coffee and tea for those that wish to partake. For those that do not know, and for those of you that are unsure, we are at 21A Maling Street, Eden. So come along and help make it a success for us and the community. Lou

  Well ... nothing about the cruise ships ... Eden Men's Shed will be out and about selling stuff in Eden on Friday, 21 October 2022 again. However, we will be part of the Garage Sale Trail on Saturday, 12 November 2022. Our address, if you do not already know it, is 21A Maling Street, Eden. You can be part of the day and set up a stall for a small fee, or buy that extra special something for somebody as a present for Christmas - or have a sausage sanga or 4 and have a chat. No entry fee for buyers, just come along for something to do. Also, the Eden Men's Shed Christmas raffle is coming up - dates have yet to be decided, but raffle tickets will be on sale at the exist of Coles Eden. Tickets will be $2 each, 3 for $5.00 or 7 for $10.00. The prize - that will be giving the game away now, won't it? Lou

 Well my friends - the Eden Whale Festival for 2022 has been cancelled as it has been washed out by a heap of rain over about 3 days or so! This makes the third year in a row that we have not had a Whale festival, hopefully next year (who do we get compensation for due to the loss of sales? JUST joking folks, so don't panic!!!) We still have the cruise ship sales tomorrow - so get there (outside Twofold Arcade) and start getting your Christmas presents for this year. See you there tomorrow. Lou

This year, for the very first time - reminds me of a song (never mind) - Eden men's Shed Inc. will be hosting a stall at the upcoming Festival. It will be held during the weekend 8-9 October 2022 at the Sports Fields, Barclay Street, Eden. We hope we can catch you all there sometime over the weekend to buy some Chrissie presents for your loved ones. But there's more - if you miss us, we will be having a stall outside Twofold Arcade, Imlay Street, Eden, on Monday 10 October 2022. Yes, a second chance to buy something special for someone special from Eden Men's Shed. So ... here's to seeing you sometime over the next weekend. Bye for now.  Lou

  I am back from a short sojourn overseas and am rearing to go. Eden Men's Shed had a fruitful day at our Eden Cruise Ship stall in Imlay Street, Eden yesterday (Friday). Met quite a few Shedders from all over the place, Geelong (Vic), Cessnock, Liverpool, Rouse Hill, Camden, Albion Park and other I can't remember there were that many of them. All had interesting tales to tell about their various Sheds and what they do or don't do. It is interesting to hear about the other Shed. Two ladies even chatted to us and said that it is great to have Men's Sheds because women have their own spaces, like the Country Women's Association and VIEW and men need a space for themselves without having women around. NOT MY VIEW came from 2 lovely ladies - so don't start anything hear about equality. Anyway - we did manage to sell quite a lot, and we are really pleased with the results. We may have even picked up a new member - and talked a few into joining a Men's Shed in the...

 Hi everyone ... something new for Eden Men's Shed - a Blog. This blog will let you all know what has happened, display testimonials and the like and as frequently as we can. In other words, letting everyone that knows us or who cares that we are a community based organisation and that we, as a Men's Shed collectively, care and reflect on the health (mentally, physically and socially), well being and empowerment of the men of Eden and its surrounding districts and all men generally.
